I got less than 40 percent what are my options?

Postgraduate students are permitted two attempts at any unit. Undergraduate students are permitted at least 2 and up to a maximum of 4 attempts, including retake, but must meet certain criteria (set out in the Common Credit Framework) in order to be eligible for maximum number of attempts.

Resits are completed before the next academic year at no cost, thus allowing students to continue to the next year of study if passed, whereas retakes are usually offered if you fail more than 60 credits or as a result of failing a resit. Retakes are completed in the next academic year, so deferring your next stage of study and they cost.
