Who are the Office of the Independent Adjudicator?
If a student (apart from a Further Education student) is dissatisfied with the outcome a University’s procedure and has received a Completion of Procedures letter, they may refer the outcome of the case as a complaint to the Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education (OIA).
The OIA provides an independent scheme for the review of unresolved student complaints. The complaint must be submitted to the OIA within 12 months from the date of issue of the Completion of Procedures letter.
