My appeal to the Academic Misconduct Appeal Committee has been accepted, what happens now?
If the Head of Quality Assurance and Enhancement accepts your request to refer the matter to a Hearing by the Appeal Committee, the Quality Manager will convene an Appeal Committee to hold an Appeal Hearing. Your case will be heard afresh and the decision of the original Panel will be set aside.
The Appeal Hearing shall normally be held no more than 30 working days after the written notification of the Head of Quality Assurance and Enhancement’s decision to accept your request. Where it is not possible for the Committee to meet within this time frame you will be informed and will be advised of the reasons for the delay.
The same procedural requirements from the original Hearing apply.
